Global Studies | Missionary Training
Come and train in Curaçao!
Global Studies students in their final semester at Called College may spend 6 ½ weeks training with the Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM) missionary team in the Dutch Caribbean along with Pastor Kenneth Thijm, General Superintendent for the Dutch Caribbean and pastor of Iglesia Bida Nobo church in Curaçao (kur-uh-sau).
Students will study, train, and develop ministerial skills in a multicultural setting under the leadership of AGWM Missionaries. As a part of their training at Called College and while continuing their online coursework through our Academic Partner, students will observe, serve, and learn to function as missionaries in a diverse culture.
Cost
Airfare $756 (includes one carryon and one personal item)
Site Fee $1175 (Housing, local transport, lunch Mon-Fri, Internet)
AGWM Insurance $235 (mandatory travel and emergency medical insurance)
Personal allowance $1034 ($22/day)

Tim & Marketa Southerland
Tim and Marketa Southerland have been church planters and pastors for nearly 30 years in both the United States and the Netherlands. They began the International Church Curacao in June of 2023 as part of the Iglesia Bida Nobo Network.
They have three sons, James, Andrew, and Michael, and five beautiful granddaughters.
Justin & Jessica Evans
Justin & Jessica both sense a calling to serve Jesus “to the ends of the earth,” and were married in 2004 shortly after graduating from North Central University.
Justin has taught the Bible at North Central University since 2008. He is ordained with the Assemblies of God and Jessica is also licensed. They have ministered in Minnesota, Boston, Scotland, Belgium, and now the island nation of Curaçao in the Caribbean. They have two children, Toby and Savannah.
Joe & Cassia Daniels
Joe and Cassia initially served as Missionary Associates in Ireland before being assigned to the Dutch Caribbean. They live and minister in Curaçao. They have four children, Jakin, Lillyanne, Lydia, and Josiah.
